This occasional table is 20 inches high and 20 inches square. The top, border, and base are walnut and the splines and plugs are cherry. A pair can be used as end tables.
I have long been inspired by the artistry of Sam Maloof. The flow of his designs, the integrity of his craftsmanship, and his delight in sharing his techniques with others continue to guide me. Maloof died on May 21, 2009. I created this table as a tribute to his influence on me and my work. I trid to emulate his esthetics and incorporate his joinery methods without actually copying his work.
